Crowns
If your tooth is broken or too large to fill, a crown can restore its foundations and appearance.
You cannot fix a broken or cracked tooth with a filling, so a crown is applied to protect the tooth. A crown is made to fit neatly over the original tooth. Where significant decay or fillings have broken a tooth, a crown will promote strength (like a suit of armour around your tooth).
Crowns can also protect teeth that have already undergone extensive dental work. They can be used for cosmetic reasons, like to improve appearance, shape or alignment. We can match ceramic crowns to the colour of your natural teeth.

Bridges
If you have multiple missing teeth, bridging can fill the area the tooth is missing.
We use the term "bridge" because the prosthetic is attached to surrounding teeth to bridge the gap between those teeth. The surrounding teeth, known as abutments, are utilised as anchors to which the bridge is attached. We will help you choose the right bridge type depending on the location, function and aesthetic of the missing tooth.
When a tooth is lost and creates a gap, the surrounding teeth can move and tilt, which can cause dental and oral issues like misaligned biting and gum disease. To replace one or more missing teeth, we would use a bridge to close gaps between surrounding teeth and restore the natural look and function of the teeth.
