KRSTL clear aligners are a great alternative to metal braces for adults and teenagers. They are less noticeable and a convenient way to improve your smile, with a custom orthodontic treatment plan specifically designed to match your oral needs.
What to expect
Step 1: Consultation
We will first examine your teeth and bite, show you how KRSTL treatment works and advise if you are a good candidate. An impression will be taken of your teeth and sent to KRSTL with a prescription and consent form.
Step 2: Treatment Setup and Discussion
We will work with KRSTL to create a customized 3D mock-up of your treatment plan which will be discussed with you in-person or via Zoom, together with a final estimate of costs. Once you give the go ahead , KRSTL sends a series of aligners customized to your mouth.
Step 3: Placement of attachments and interproximal reduction (IPR)
We then place attachments on your teeth and may do some interproximal reduction. Attachments are tooth-coloured material placed on the surface of your teeth that helps with retention of the aligner and movement of the tooth. Interproximal reduction or IPR is done to create space for the teeth to move into, this is done by stripping between 0.1mm - 0.5mm on the sides of designated teeth.
You will then start wearing the clear aligner sequentially for two weeks, and then change to the next aligner until your treatment is complete.

Are KRSTL Aligners right for me?
Due to the unique circumstances behind each patient, we need to first consult with you to determine if KRSTL treatment is suitable for you. After an assessment, we will be able to tell you if KRSTL is the right orthodontic treatment for you.
In general, KRSTL clear aligners corrects the following dental problems:
- Crowding
- Gaps in teeth
- Minor bite problems (overbite, underbite, crossbite, or open bite)
Maintaining the results
Teeth have a way of shifting back after you’ve gone through the work to straighten them out. We will talk to you about what needs to be done after your treatment to prevent this. Usually, this means wearing your final set of clear aligners for a bit longer and then transitioning to wearing a retainer
